What do we do

Activ8 pairs a physical activity kit with an AI-powered app that generates an adaptive, accessible game in under 30 seconds, built for the group in front of the leader, whatever the group size, space, or ability level. No specialist training and no extra prep time required. Every activity is evidence-informed, with evaluation built in, so leaders and the people who fund them can see what is actually working. Activ8 grew out of Recess Guardians, our founding program that spent 16+ years and 1,500+ schools learning what leaders on the ground actually need. Building on that, we launched Activ8 with a six-month pilot across 200+ U.S. schools and built partnerships with the New York State PTA and the State of Tennessee. Today, 20,000+ student leaders run Activ8 sessions in their communities. That foundation is now expanding beyond schools into adaptive and community recreation: parks and recreation departments, special education cooperatives, Medicaid-funded day programs, and international partners including Australia's NDIS providers. Each of these programs needs the same thing schools did, a way to run genuinely adaptive, accessible activities without a specialist on staff, and proof that it's working for the people who fund them. Activ8 is already used by a multi-site group in Canada and a large U.S. franchise network, and works alongside partners like Special Olympics Canada.
