AquaSensing develops battery-free water leak detection sensors that harvest energy directly from moisture, enabling deployment in locations where battery maintenance is impractical. Built on University of Waterloo research, our technology helps building owners, utilities, and infrastructure operators detect leaks earlier, reduce maintenance costs, and prevent water damage. We are currently deploying with partners including Evergreen Brick Works, Simon Fraser University, FireBot (U.S.), and 12 Energy. As climate-related water risks and infrastructure challenges increase, AquaSensing is focused on scaling a practical, low-maintenance solution for resilient buildings and infrastructure.
