ARDA Power enables project developers to break free from DER interconnection bottlenecks and deploy resilient energy systems powering co-located demand. ARDA is a University of Toronto spin-off that developed and patented a next-generation DC microgrid platform. Our technology enables a “grid of grids” future, augmenting the aging AC grid with modular, battery energy storage-based DC microgrids. These systems are uniquely suited to meet surging electricity demand driven by EV charging, data centers, and re-industrialization. To date, ARDA Power completed core technology development and several pioneering deployments, including: - the world’s first DC microgrid deployed in an operational industrial facility - a paid pilot with a global EPC, delivered under a commercial PO In 2019, ARDA was named to the Cleantech Group’s 50-to-Watch list of emerging global cleantech startups. More recently, in 2023, ABB selected ARDA as one of the top three finalists in its global startup competition. The technology is patented, field-proven, and de-risked. With demand and component availability now aligned, the time has come for commercialization.
