Auspex Automation is developing A.T.O.M. - Agent for Task-Oriented Manipulation - a software platform for agentic robotics in manufacturing. A.T.O.M. helps industrial teams use robot arms and other industrial machinery easily and effectively by translating operator intent into coordinated machine instructions, creating structured and safety-aware automation pipelines. Today, manufacturers can purchase capable robot arms and other industrial machinery, but turning this equipment into useful automation pipelines still requires significant custom programming, calibration, tooling, safety setup, and integration work. This makes robotic automation expensive, slow to deploy, and difficult to adapt when tasks or production needs change. A.T.O.M. is designed to sit on top of new or existing industrial robot arms and other shop-floor hardware and machinery, connecting the pieces needed for rapid and adaptable workcell automation: task planning, motion programs, natural language control, vision recognition, workspace calibration, end-effector control, human review, execution logs, and reusable workflows. The goal is to help manufacturers describe what they want their hardware to do, review a proposed plan, and execute repeatable automation with greater confidence. The initial focus is on practical manufacturing tasks such as machine tending, pick-and-place, sorting, packaging, tool handoff, object localization, inspection support, and multi-step manipulation. Auspex Automation’s broader mission is to make industrial automation more accessible, flexible, and scalable for manufacturers.
