Bauxite Technologies is commercializing a two-for-one solution for green aluminum and sustainable construction. Our technology is the first-of-its-kind in Canada to remediate and recycle bauxite residue, a toxic aluminum-production byproduct which currently presents a major ecological risk to Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean. Our process transforms this waste into a cement replacement through a low-energy, emission-free process. Laboratory trials of our product yield mechanical performance that exceeds industry standards. Unlike the green cement competition, whose products are prohibitively expensive for general construction, our unique use of bauxite residue as an abundant and cheap raw material empowers us to create the first green cement that can compete directly with ordinary cement on a cost basis.
