Our science centers around the therapeutic potential of Kynurenic Acid (KynA), also known as ‘FS2’, a compound with notable antifibrogenic properties capable of enhancing extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. At BirchBioMed, we leverage KynA across a range of applications: topical creams, systemic administration, and a pioneering approach, known as AI-001, that combines a one-time delivery of APCs with systemic KynA administration to produce a synergistic effect in the treatment of certain autoimmune conditions.
