CERT Systems converts carbon dioxide emissions into drop-in, low-carbon materials and fuels including packaging and sustainable aviation fuel. This is accomplished through a single-step electrochemical process called Direct CO2 Electrolysis. CERT has raised over $8M in non-dilutive funding, including through paid projects with major international companies in plastics and petrochemical manufacturing. The team was a finalist in the NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE, and backed by Breakthrough Energy. It is also a member of the 2024-2026 RBC Women in Cleantech Accelerator cohort, powered by MaRS.
