HDAX Therapeutics is a preclinical stage biotechnology company committed to the development of novel small molecule therapeutics directed at disease drivers of neuropathies, neurodegeneration and cardiovascular diseases. Our unique platform, predicated on our novel bitopic binding mode, has been able to overcome core drug-design challenges such as weak binding, off-target toxicities, and poor pharmacokinetic profiles that have hampered previous attempts in this field. With our lead program targeting HDAC6, HDAX has also designed blood-brain-barrier crossing inhibitors, enabling CNS disease targeting that is not possible with competing molecules, including clinical candidates. Via our unique HDAC6 inhibiting platform, we are developing the first ever disease-modifying therapy for neurological disorders with axonal dysfunction. We have spun out of Prof. Patrick Gunning’s lab at University of Toronto, a leading professor and serial entrepreneur (Janpix, Dunad, & Dalriada Therapeutics).
