Human in Motion Robotics

HMR places people with disabilities at the center of its design process. Its exoskeleton, XoMotion, is co-developed with users like ChloÎ Angus, Director of Lived Experience, who brings firsthand insight as a daily wheelchair user. HMR conducts user-involved clinical trials and collaborates with Synaptic Health, where advocate Ryan Straschnitzki supports integration. The company engages with Praxis Spinal Cord Institute and the Rick Hansen Foundation to ensure inclusive innovation. XoMotion enables natural, hands-free movement and was named Top Robot at CES 2025. HMR's approach ensures its technology is guided by those it's meant to empower, making mobility more accessible, human-centred, and transformative. Human in Motion is a member of the Mobility Unlimited Hub cohort at MaRS.
