ImmunoBiochem is a pharma-partnered biotech startup developing novel bioconjugate therapeutics, such antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and degrader-antibody conjugates (DACs), to address significant unmet need in oncology, immuno-oncology and immunology. ImmunoBiochem innovates in the areas of new target discovery and emerging payload modalities, leveraging AI and multiomic tools to uncover new biology and develop novel chemistries. ImmunoBiochem is a revenue-generating biotech and has several pharma and academic partnerships on multiple targets and assets. ImmunoBiochem’s target discovery engine utilizes a combination of high-throughput functional assays, mass spectrometry and ML to unravel unique biology in the tumor microenvironment, particularly in the cancer cell secretome. This proprietary platform enables the discovery of novel tumor targets with unique behaviours that could be exploited with various targeted therapeutic modalities. Potentiated biologics (ADCs and DACs) directed at such unique targets overcome the challenges of solid tumor heterogeneity, evolution of resisatnce, and pentration - all limitations of conventional biological therapeutics and ADCs. ImmunoBiochem’s novel bioconjugates for precision immunology utilize unique antibody targets for the delivery of potent protein degrader payloads modulating select immunological pathways in specific cell subtypes in the desirable context in relevant autoimmune disorders. This precision strategy increases efficacy allowing the full potential of targeting certain immunological pathways to be realized, while avoiding broad side-effects of existing biologics and small molecule therapeutics. ImmunoBiochem is JLABS alumnus and is headquartered in Ontario, Canada, with labs located at SpinUp @ University of Toronto in Mississauga, and draws on the vast expertise of cancer researchers and clinicians located in the biomedical hub of downtown Toronto.
