Neuropeutics is a pharmaceutical startup dedicated to developing targeted therapies that extend the survival and enhance the quality of life for patients with neurodegenerative diseases. Using our novel high-throughput in vitro and in vivo models of TDP-43 protein pathology, we identified and validated an innovative small molecule, JRMS-22, which demonstrated a 30% reduction in pathology after just two weeks of treatment in a mouse model. Leveraging our deep mechanistic understanding of the disease, we have developed a novel approach to modulate, prevent, and reverse TDP-43 aggregation. Currently, our dedicated team is finalizing preclinical studies to advance it as a therapeutic for ALS as our initial beachhead market, followed by other neurodegenerative diseases.
