What do we do

Samsara Materials Inc. is driving a bold shift towards sustainability by addressing three of the world's most pressing environmental challenges: plastic waste (PW), carbon emission and reliance on cement. Its patent pending Green Upcylcing Process (GUP) transforms food contaminated and unsorted PW into high performance composite. Its eco-friendly process does not require washing or chemical pre-treatment. Its modular technology can turn the composite into different products such as bricks, fencing posts, fencing panels, roofing, siding… that meet the construction rigorous demands. Samsa’s Ecobrik is 50% lighter than traditional concrete bricks, but exceeds the compressive strength required by the strictest North American and European cities, providing a durable and cost-effective alternative to traditional materials. Ecobrik can be used in a wide range of applications, including paving, cladding, landscaping, and even partition walls. Its lighter weight reduces the risk of workers common wrist and back injuries, while lowers transportation and labor costs. The global demand for bricks alone was over 2 trillion bricks sold in 2023, 545 billion bricks in the U.S. As cities push for greener practices, Samsara is well-positioned to capitalize on this shift toward eco-conscious construction materials. Beyond the functional benefits, Samsara’s GUP • diverts substantial volume of PW otherwise sent to landfills, addressing the low recycling rates in regions like North America and Europe, • is an ideal alternative to incineration as it releases only 1/1000th CO2 emitted from incineration, • contributes to “Net Zero” initiatives around the globe, and • releases a very small fraction of microplastic compared to plastic recycling plants while providing a good return on investment to shareholders. Samsara has completed the development of its compounding technology, tested Ecobrik against relevant ASTM, CSA and EPA requirements and secured exclusive OEM agreement.
