Scatr develops cutting-edge analytical testing devices. We combine machine learning with the networking of web-browsers and cloud infrastructure. Scatr bridges the gap between point-of-care, affordable testing devices, and research-grade imaging systems. The Scatr Series One is a Raman spectroscopy system that scans thousands of points of a sample and classifies each point without destroying any part of it. Scatr was founded in 2018 as a bidder in the Drug-Checking Technology Challenge funded by Health Canada, and was awarded the 1st place prize of $1 million in March, 2021.
