Vessl Prosthetics has designed a whole new way to wear a prosthetic leg. Every day, 500 people get an amputation below the knee in the United States and nearly all of them experience poor socket fit. Poor socket fit occurs when an amputee’s prosthetic socket doesn’t fit the same as it did on the first day, leading to discomfort and pressure sores. Vessl has developed an automatically adjusting prosthetic socket to reduce pain and carry amputees through their life.
