The business case for clean technologies is clear. Concerns about resource scarcity, energy security and the impacts of climate change are driving adoption — the global cleantech market is on track to hit U.S.$2 trillion by 2035. Canada has long punched above its weight in this area and MaRS has strong representation of startups working in agtech, advanced materials, adaptation and energy.
