Advances in AI-powered drug discovery, cell and gene therapies, regenerative medicine are fuelling growth in Canada’s biotech and life sciences sector. Canada ranks fourth globally for clinical trial sites — there are more than 5,000 active trials in Ontario alone. Several MaRS ventures are gearing up to launch trials in everything from psilocybin-based therapies to cancer vaccines.
